my latest favorite waste of time...

... happens to be librarything. whenever i pick up a new book, the first thing i do when get home is immediately, anxiously plug the isbn into the add book form. i just can't get enough librarything. its more fun that putting brodart covers on books!

and tim s. has just made librarything cooler!

mobile librarything!

all the best features of librarything available via a phone internet connection. of course, our phone connections are terribly slow and any page looks like crap by default, and i'm getting a 404 when i try and view my books, but hopefully after the bumps are worked out, this will be a dream come true.

i did post at the blog (intolerable). still getting a 404 even using the /m/home.php url, but will keep giving it a go. i *really* want to be able to access the site without toting around the 17" laptop!

its a great feature, a real treat. very much appreciated.

is it really new? or am i doing it wrong? i typed in the isbn for the book i am currently reading, american theocracy, and although it found the book, there doesn't seem to be anyone linked to it which i find suprising since it's a fairly new and popular book. what am i missing?

its been around for less than a year, althought there are over 800,000 unique titles in collections now (over 3 million books entered overall).

but still, we have, out of our 800+ books so far entered, tons of books no one else has added to their own collection yet.

in regards to 'american theocracy', though, if you go to the search page and enter the title there, it comes up, and it looks like 47 people have that particular title. you might have searched using 'search your library' if you used the isbn, which it may have not returned any results.

we actually wanted to make a site just like this before zinn was born!
